This two-hour course teaches students what asbestos is, where it is found in buildings, when it is dangerous, and how to avoid disturbing it. The course meets OSHA and EPA (AHERA) training requirements for custodial, maintenance, and construction employees who may contact (but not disturb) asbestos as part of their work.
AHERA requires this training for all custodial and maintenance personnel prior to implementing an Asbestos O&M Program. OSHA requires it as part of hazard communications training for all personnel.
The course is tailored to fit the conditions and work tasks of your particular organization. It can also be combined with awareness training regarding lead, silica, PCBs, or other hazardous materials. The cost of the course will be negotiated based on location, number of trainees, and specific client requirements. Please contact us to discuss details of cost and scheduling.
