This four-hour course satisfies the annual refresher requirement to keep accreditation as an AHERA Building Inspector current. It is one of the requirements for retaining Cal-OSHA certification as a Site Surveillance Technician.
You review the most common locations and materials for asbestos in buildings and the most important federal and California regulations that cover inspection issues. We discuss health effects, legal liability and insurance issues, along with updates to regulations and research. We review the AHERA protocols for inspection, sampling, categorizing, and recording materials, and approaches to finding hidden asbestos products.
Those with both Building Inspector and Management Planner certifications should take the combined 8-hour Building Inspector/Management Planner Refresher course.
If you took your last AHERA Building Inspector course with a different training provider, please upload a copy of your most recent course completion certificate to https://facsinc.egnyte.com/ul/8daWE6v29f when registering.
We are gradually re-introducing in-person refreshers, while continuing to offer online webinar sections as a choice for our clients as long as Cal-OSHA allows them.
Some courses currently scheduled at in-person locations could be converted to online webinars as a response to Covid infection rates or other factors. Should that happen, registrants will be notified immediately of the change in delivery.
Course fee includes Cal-OSHA accredited certificate of completion.
