This 4-hour class is required every five years to retain your EPA RRP certification. You must take this RRP refresher course before your initial certification expires. Trades that may require RRP certification include HVAC, painting, electrical, window replacement, flooring, drywall, or plumbing workers and contractors. The requirements apply to renovation, repair or painting activities where six square feet or more of surface containing lead-based paint is disturbed in a room, or where more than 20 square feet of material containing lead-based paint is disturbed on the exterior. Subjects covered in the course include health effects, regulations, lead-safe work practices, containment, cleaning, and record keeping.
Visit the EPA's website for additional information about RRP certification.
Note that if your existing RRP certificate has expired before the course date, you must take an initial RRP course (8 hours) rather than this 4-hour refresher to renew your certification.
If you took your last RRP course (initial or refresher) with a trainer other than FACS/HMS Training, please upload a copy of your most recent course completion certificate to https://facsinc.egnyte.com/ul/EaXkzfPsfE upon registration.
