This training is designed to meet the needs of workers who may encounter lead paint but whose work is not expected to create a significant risk of lead exposure. We provide information about historical and current uses of lead, its various health effects, and an overview of lead regulations and how they differ between agencies. We discuss the various “hazard levels” defined by those agencies for lead in paint, dust, and soil. We also discuss hazardous waste issues and the requirements for disclosure of known lead-based paint and/or lead-based paint hazards in housing.
The course can be tailored to fit the specific work tasks of your organization, or combined with awareness concerning asbestos, silica, PCBs, or other hazards. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs and schedule or pricing details.
