OSHA requires special training before workers are allowed to perform any activity which may cause them to exceed the “Action Level” of exposure to lead (30µg/M3). Activities which may trigger this requirement include disturbing lead paint as part of paint preparation or demolition work.
As a result of medical research and other factors, the permissible exposure level is likely to be reduced, so more workplace activities will trigger the need for this training.
Topics include information about various lead regulations, the health effects of lead, respiratory and personal protection practices, and specific work techniques that reduce exposure to lead.
The course will be tailored to fit the specific work activities of your organization. It can also be combined with general awareness training concerning asbestos, silica, PCBs, and other hazards. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs and price and scheduling details.
