AHERA Building Inspector Initial - Michigan

Description

Passing this 24-hour course allows you to collect samples and conduct building inspections to assess asbestos risk as an AHERA accredited Building Inspector. It also prepares you to evaluate inspection reports.

You learn the most common locations for asbestos in a building and a systems approach for finding hidden asbestos products. You develop an understanding of the most important federal and state asbestos regulations, health effects, legal liability, and insurance issues.

With the guidance of experienced asbestos inspectors,  you practice inspecting buildings and sampling, categorizing, and recording materials using the most up-to-date practices and protocols.

An annual 4-hour refresher course is required to maintain your AHERA accreditation or MI-OSHA certification.
