David B. McGrath is the Rocky Mountain Regional Director and Corporate Training Director for Forensic Analytical Consulting Services. He moved to Colorado in 2007 from the San Francisco Bay Area, where he served as a consultant for more than 18 years providing senior management for staff and projects involving asbestos, lead, PCBs, and other hazardous materials. These projects included hazardous material surveys, abatement planning, specifications development, abatement monitoring, and litigation support/expert witness services.
David has a history of invitational service in shaping and refining California’s ACM and LBP regulations and standards. In 2000, he participated as an advisory committee member to develop a regulation establishing the process for approval of asbestos cement pipe specific training under Cal/OSHA. Between 1998 and 2000, at the invitation of the California Department of Health Services (Cal/DHS, now CDPH) Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch, he assisted with the formation and review of the statewide lead-related construction certification exams.
